Kendrick Lamar ‘Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers’ First Week Album Sales Revealed

Kendrick Lamar ‘Mr. Morale, Big Steppers’ first week album sales are revealed, as Kenny scores a no. 1 entry into the charts for this masterpiece. With this effort, the Compton kid scores his fourth straight no. 1 debut on the Billboard 200.

Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers debuted with 295,500 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. for the week ending May 19th. Of that sum, streaming equivalent albums comprised 258,000 and traditional album sales were 35,500. Track equivalent units were 1,500, as the project generated over 343.02 million on-demand streams.

This project from Kendrick Lamar is the biggest release since Adele’s 30 album, which debuted at no. 1 with 839,000 units sold back in November.

Except for Bad Bunny’s Un Verano Sin Ti project, Mr. Morale and The Big Steppers logged the largest streaming week for any album of 2022. With Bad Bunny and Future releasing projects earlier this month, Kenny joins them as the three biggest streamed projects of the year.

Considering Kenny is going on a worldwide tour in a few weeks, look for these sales to keep steady and eventually reach platinum status before the end of the summer.
